1. President Thabo Mbeki and Mrs Zanele Mbeki: Extended a happy birthday message to former president Nelson Mandela on his 88th birthday. Mbeki expressed the wish that Madiba lives long enough to see the full bloom of our nation as it continues to regenerate itself into a peaceful, prosperous and united people, at peace with itself and its neighbours. Madiba's life is exemplary and will perhaps pass as one among the rare models of a true South African.
