THE MANDELA RHODES FOUNDATION AND MANDELA DAY

The Mandela Rhodes Foundation is an enthusiastic participant in and supporter of the inaugural Mandela Day activities at home and abroad.  As the Cape-based charitable organisation working in the name of Mr Mandela, the MRF has endorsed the Ubuntu Festival to take place around the time of Mr Mandela’s birthday, and encourages Capetonians to participate.

In addition, the Mandela Rhodes Scholars Alumni Association, the Community of Mandela Rhodes Scholars, is planning activities in support of Mandela Day.

Through the Nelson Mandela Foundation campaign vehicle 46664, the MRF will also be participating in Mandela Day celebratory and fundraising events in New York City next week, including seminars, an exhibition, a fundraising dinner, and the Mandela Day concert.
