I graduated with my PhD in Microbiology at the University of Pretoria on 15 September 2021. I have also been working as a Field Application Scientist in the field of genomics since 2017 (at Thermo Fisher Scientific) and recently (since 2020) at MGI-Tech where I have been supporting laboratories around Africa in the sequencing of the Corona virus in the effort to detect new variants.
