Ruramai is an African academic who aspires to build a better world for her country and Africa through her scientific background. She believes that one of the crucial ways to change the trajectory of Africa and improve its current state is to tap into and develop its scientific and technological sectors.
Ruramai understands that the most significant way she can play her role in serving Africa is to be an active player in developing spaces aimed at mitigating Disease and Infection. It is with this goal in mind that she aims to dedicate a substantial amount of her life to experimental research aligned with Molecular Biology, all with the end goal of disease treatment through novel therapeutic protein production in Africa.
Apart from her academic achievements and aspirations, Ruramai is the co-founder of The Bridge, a non-profit organisation that works to bring various help providers in touch with disadvantaged individuals who otherwise do not have the lobbying power to access this help. Through her work with The Bridge, Ruramai was selected as a Global Changemaker in Switzerland, 2019.
Ruramai is an empath at her core. She believes that the only true meaning that can be achieved from life is for every one of us to play their role, big or small, in improving the realities of our communities.
