Ruvimbo Samanga grew up in the city of Bulawayo Zimbabwe where she attained her primary and secondary education. She participated in sports and culture, often representing her school locally and abroad. Ruvimbo graduated with a law degree from the University of Pretoria in 2018, where she spent time taking part in community service, leadership roles in the United Nations Committee and the Rotaract Club, as well as traveling and playing video games in her spare time. Her other hobbies include reading and writing and she loves animals as well as being outdoors. She is a Christian and enjoys serving in the choir and fellowshipping with others. Ruvimbo believes compassion should be one’s greatest motivator. She is a firm believer of empowerment as well and giving back; furthermore, that the youth have a big role to play in impacting their society. She inspired by innovators and believe the youth must create their own opportunities and solutions to the challenges they see around them. Most recently Ruvimbo developed an interest in the Space Industry, which is rapidly growing on the African continent, and achieved victory as part of the winning team of the Manfred Lachs Space Law moot, a competition for law students held during the International Astronautical Congress. She now serves on the Space Generation Advisory Council as well as on Women In Aerospace Africa. Additionally, Ruvimbo hopes to be a key player in trade and industry on the continent in the coming years.
