Zayithwa Fabiano is reading for a Master of Medicine, Internal Medicine. She is a Malawian medical doctor who is keen on specialising to become a consultant internist to provide care across a broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses among adults. Exposed to a life of science and civic engagement at a young age, she channeled these two passions into becoming a medical care provider for the development of communities. Zayithwa aspires to provide access to specialist health services as a consultant internist and innovator in health, offer teaching and training of the next generation of healthcare providers, work in clinical and public health research and provide mentorship to young health workers. Zayithwa is civilly engaged in her community and her servant leadership qualities are reflected in her roles as a 2020 YouthLead Ambassador, Southern Region Representative for the YALI Association in Malawi, mentor at Ladies in Tertiary Education among others. She has had the opportunity to refine her leadership skills during a Professional Development Experience at Taskforce for Global Health and as a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow where she gave an Ignite Talk representing Drexel University at The 2020 Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit.
