Ben Rycroft joined the MRF in January 2024 after having spent 6.5 years as head of communications at Nal’ibali, a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign. Before joining the MRF, Ben consulted to the Western Cape Economic Development Partnership, developing a multi-level communications strategy and campaign to promote and build awareness of the Social Employment Fund (SEF).

Before joining the social development space, Ben worked in the advertising arena having worked on several brands like BP, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Levi’s and Liqui Fruit. His last role was that of Client Service Director at a customer relationship management (CRM) agency.

Ben has a BA degree from the University of Stellenbosch, a Diploma in Account Management from AAA School of Advertising, and a Certificate in Business Management from the Chartered Institute of Business Management.
