Zaiboonisha Naidu
Operations Officer, Mandela Rhodes Foundation Zaiboonisha was born in Gauteng and resided there for the first few years of her life. She had the privilege of completing primary school in Durban. Thereafter she moved to Cape Town where she completed her schooling at Westerford High School. She then went on to study Social Work at UCT and in 2006 completed her Honors Degree in Clinical Social Work. Zaiboonisha worked in various NGOs for 10 years as a social worker. During this time she saw the range of skills that a social worker requires and the varying difficulties people face in their communities. After that, she decided to do something different and spent a further two and a half years at a corporate market research company where she was able to focus on and grow her Project Management skills. Zaiboonisha is married and has a three-year-old. She loves reading and spending quality time with family. Says Zaiboonisha: “Working at the MRF gives me the opportunity to keep helping scholars push the boundaries of success higher and higher to achieve the dream of building exceptional leaders within Africa. I find inspiration in helping others rise up and fulfil the dreams and aspirations they have within them.”
