Musa Kika

Zimbabwe & University of Cape Town, 2015

Musa is a constitutional and human rights lawyer and jurist, with a PhD in Public Law from the University of Cape Town, an LLM from Harvard Law School and an LLB summa cum laude from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

He currently serves as Executive Director of the Pan-African law-based non-governmental organisation Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa, based in Banjul, The Gambia. He works across Africa litigating human rights before regional mechanisms.

He has previously served as Executive Director of the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum and as Director for External Relations and Head of Office (HQ) at the Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT) based in Barcelona, Spain.

Musa is a Harvard Law School Kaufman Public Service Fellow, a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, a Ford Global Fellow and a South Africa Brightest Young minds alumnus.
