Ernst Gerber started working at the MRF in May 2010 and was employed as a Financial Controller. This position grew into that of Chief Financial Officer and currently he is the Operations Director overseeing the day to day administrative running of the MRF.

Previously Ernst was employed in the retail motor industry and worked for the McCarthy Group (Now Bidvest) for nearly twenty four years. He was first employed as a Group Internal Auditor in Cape Town and held subsequent positions of assistant Financial Manager, Financial Manager and Financial Director of McCarthy Toyota Cape.

Ernst completed a Baccalaureus Computationis degree from the University of South Africa, majoring in commercial law and auditing and completed his accounting articles with Jackson Neethling Chartered Accountants in Bellville.
