Mantombi Makhubele
Associate Communications Manager, Mandela Rhodes Foundation Mantombi Makhubele, is a former journalist and columnist for the Sunday Times, The Sunday Independent and as a news producer for the SABC She holds a diploma in Television Production and a Masters Degree in Journalism from the London School of Communications. Mantombi's career highlights include covering the royal visit of Prince Charles and Camilla, writing a front-page story for the Sunday Times after the passing of Alberina Sisulu and doing an internship at the BBC in London. She also broke some barriers and led the way for transformation by being the first black Travel Editor in the country at the Sunday Independent. She is the author of ‘Let’s Have Some Tea: A single Moms Conversation’, a memoir about her journey as a single mom. She worked for Stellenbosch University before joining the Mandela Rhodes Foundation. Email: [email protected]
