Shivon Philand started working for the MRF in 2007 as a consultant in the accounts department. She was permanently appointed as an accountant in 2010. More recently she has taken on the additional role of building manager.

Prior to working at the Foundation, Shivon worked in the printing and packaging industry at Nampak, where she was employed as an accountant.

Shivon completed a National Diploma in Cost & Management accounting at CPUT and then a BCompt through Unisa. Her majors include Financial accounting and Management accounting. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family. She participates in full contact karate and obtained her black belt in 2017.
