Achille Tchidehou

Benin & Stellenbosch University, 2026

Achille is a social entrepreneur and former Mastercard Foundation Scholar with a B.Sc. in Nutrition and Food Technologies from the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin. As a first-generation Beninese student, he is devoted to transformational community-based leadership and service.

He founded Youth Empowerment, a program providing professional development training to underserved youth, equipping over 250 individuals with skills in CV writing, cover letters, and job interviews. To support socioeconomically disadvantaged women, Achille facilitated food processing training for 48 women, inspired by his mother’s struggles to fund his education.

Using food science for economic empowerment, he co-founded Agro Reference LTD, a social venture processing fruits into organic beverages, empowering low-income women farmers in Benin. His work in agribusiness and community development has inspired others across Africa, earning him recognition as a resilient entrepreneur.

Passionate about self-education, Achille draws inspiration from books like Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and continues to revolutionize education and economic opportunities in Africa through his initiatives.
