Lucky is a recognised Ruth First Foundation and the Gallagher Foundation scholar. Beyond academia, she is a visual artist and digital content creator who thinks in colour and “specialises in spreading sparkle.”

Inspired by her mother’s principle, “awuphi ngoba unakho” (meaning one gives from the abundance of the soul, not material wealth), she channels her creativity and scholarship into addressing societal polarisation and the healthcare challenges, including TB and mental health, faced by marginalised communities across South Africa.
