Nyuma Nthengwe

Namibia & University of the Witwatersrand, 2026

Ndiilokelwa holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Innovation, Computer Technology & Entrepreneurship with distinctions from AFDA School of the Creative Economy, Cape Town. They are Founder and CEO of Autono-Me, a tech start-up addressing structural unemployment, recognized at Seedstars Africa and the National ICT Summit.

Their career spans civil society and international development, including roles as Communications Lead for Akina Mama wa Afrika, Executive Director of Namibia’s first Reproductive Justice Clinic at VCRC Health and Research Institute, and U.S. Department of State Community Engagement Exchange Fellow with Black Women for Wellness.

Integrating technology, law, and social justice, Ndiilokelwa focuses on dismantling economic barriers for African women. Their forthcoming MPhil research will explore blockchain’s potential to enhance land tenure and transform labour systems, culminating in the African Meta City, Africa’s first queer woman-owned blockchain platform.

A three-time published author, they write on identity, activism, and the future of work, with features in African Arguments, Brittle Paper, and Namibian media. As a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Ndiilokelwa will pursue an MPhil in Inclusive Innovation at UCT to advance a digitally inclusive and equitable African economy.
