Simon Mutungi Muhairwe hails from the Banyankore tribe, a western Ugandan ethnic group renowned for grazing long-horned cattle. He will be pursuing a Masters in Development Finance at Stellenbosch University while in residence. He is an experienced lawyer with a demonstrated history of working in the banking and finance industry. He is skilled in commercial litigation, legal research and transactions' advisory. He has also previously lectured at the commercial law department of Kampala International University and was a judge at the 2016 All Africa Human Rights Moot Competition at the University of Pretoria. He believes like Tata Rolihlala did, that education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world; a fact he greatly commends the foundation for in its role in educating the continent with the youngest population globally. Simon loves hiking, swimming, herding cattle, and actively plays basketball, an avid fan of the game having won several accolades in Uganda and South Africa. He wishes to live a life that will glorify, draw more and more people to his personal saviour, Jesus Christ.
