Noguès Ollier

Noguès Ollier is an aspiring leader who is constantly learning, discovering and knowing himself better through everyday’s experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Engineering (with honours) from the University of Cape Town. In 2019 he obtained a Master's degree with distinction, specializing in Renewable and Sustainable Energy at Stellenbosch University.
After spending more than 5 years as a Technical Advisor in renewable energy project development, financing and implementation for public institutions, banks and independent power producers (IPP) across Africa, currently Noguès works as a Project Engineer for a global IPP where he provides in-house engineering/technical coordination for renewable energy projects.
Noguès is driven by the core ethos to love and respect every individual, pursue excellence and make a positive impact in society. He is naturally a mentor and during his undergraduate studies, he volunteered for three years providing mentoring support to first-year students. He has many leadership aspirations which revolve around entrepreneurship, job creation and supporting the education and training of the African youth. With the climate change and sustainable energy transition challenges facing the world, with Africa particularly hit by a low rate of energy access, Noguès also aspires to achieve leadership excellence in the energy sector to enhance access to cheap, reliable, sustainable and efficient energy systems for Africa and the world at large. Noguès mainly spends his leisure time playing soccer, reading a book, listening to music or meditating about life.
