Phebe Keshinro is a lawyer and chartered accountant who is driven by a desire to blend law and finance in making meaningful contributions to financial policy formulation and implementation, with specific reference to Nigerian adaptability for developmental impact. She is currently an associate with a global consulting firm, where she contributes towards the transformation of businesses and the scalability of solutions that address Nigeria’s challenges across various industries. Before that, she was a technical analyst at Emerging Africa Capital Group, a Nigerian based provider of financial services aimed to facilitate the investment process for and with African entities and individuals. Phebe has held many leadership roles and she sees leadership as serving with or without official titles or designations and as an opportunity to make an impact that matters in her sphere of influence. She actively volunteers with non-governmental organisations with a focus on education, youth empowerment and poverty eradication. These and various experiences have influenced her belief that Africa needs to move beyond Aid. She believes that Africa can only be fixed by Africans who are passionate about the affairs of their respective countries, and who step out with courage to confront the deep-seated issues that have limited the tremendous potential existent in its people and resources. Phebe has participated in various research activities resulting in 5 publications and many more under review. She is a graduate of Law from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti and will be pursuing a Masters in Development Finance at Stellenbosch University while in residence.
